After Craft Photos

The dictionary defines 'Crafts' as: an activity involving skill in making things by hand or a pastime or a profession that requires particular skills and knowledge of skilled work. However for me it really just means 'fun times'. Crafts present us with opportunities to spend time with the kids.

This year we did a number of crafts both in Owen Sound and Halifax. In November we joined with our neighbours, the Singh family and made Christmas tree ornaments. The photos in the sidebars show how much fun Mia and Heidi had making these ornaments with us. The following week we made Christmas Tree decorations using scrabble tiles with Mia and Heidi. You can see the result in the photo to the rights.

Later Marie and Mia built a Ginger Bread House complete with candy decorations and icing sugar trim. This was quite the craft that took them most of the afternoon and was a lot of fun for both of them as you can see in the photos below. You can see how to properly dispose of the left over icing sugar in the video below.

When we arrived in Halifax for Christmas we took the opportunity to create Christmas tree decorations with the boys using the scrabble tiles. We all had a great time as you can see in the photo to the right. Marie also took the time to do a similar craft with Emile, who Heather cares for while her mother is at work.
