Our Current Inventory of Rescued &
Restored Radios
Below
you will find our current collection of rescued and restored radios.
We invite you to browse through these remarkable pieces of history
and discover the stories behind them. Each radio listing includes
detailed information about its history, origin, restoration process,
and current appraised value.
You may
notice that none of our radios carry a listed selling price. That is
because Old Fidelity Restorations is not operated as a traditional
for-profit business. Every radio you see here has been carefully
rescued from deterioration, neglect, or possible disposal, then
meticulously restored over countless hours to near-original
condition.
Much
like dedicated animal rescuers who seek loving homes for the pets
they save, we believe these radios deserve owners who will truly
appreciate and care for them. Finding the right home for each
restoration is therefore a two-way relationship. It is not enough
simply to desire an Old Fidelity restoration — ownership also comes
with the responsibility of preserving and maintaining an important
piece of history for future generations.
For that
reason, the selling price of a radio is never fixed. Over the years,
some radios have sold for their full appraised value, while others
have been entrusted to new caretakers for as little as one dollar.
Determining the right price is always part of a thoughtful
conversation centered around the radio, its future home, and the
individual who will become its next steward. |
Radios with a Built-in Module
This style provides the most authentic replication of the
vintage radio experience. When the radio is switched on
using its original power knob, it automatically resumes the
last FM broadcast station it was tuned to. The radio's
original Tone and Volume controls work exactly as they
always did. In every practical sense, the radio behaves as
it was designed to — just receiving FM instead of AM.

Radios with an External Module

This style supports four
operational modes: AM Broadcast, FM Broadcast, Bluetooth
streaming, and USB Playlist. Its key advantage is that all
stages of the radio are fully restored, allowing it to be
used exactly as originally designed — tuning live AM
broadcasts — while also offering modern connectivity.
When the radio is first switched on, it operates in AM
Broadcast mode and all original controls function as
designed. To switch to FM, Bluetooth, or USB playback, the
radio is routed through the external module using a remote
control, and from that point the module handles source
selection and volume
